Staff Sergeant Thomas Field was a crew chief aboard Super Six-Four, killed at the crash site during the Battle of Mogadishu. From Lisbon, Maine, he was 25 years old. His Silver Star and Air Medal with Valor Device honor the courage he demonstrated in his final moments. Thomas Field was a Night Stalker — trained to operate in the most demanding conditions, at any hour, in any weather. His memorial at Queenslake honors his dedication to the mission and to his fellow soldiers.
