THE MOGADISHU MILE:
AN ANNUAL TRIBUTE TO COMMITTED EXCELLENCE
Year 5: October 3-4, 2025 (Planned)
Mogadishu Mile 2025: Honor, Remember, Unite
On October 3-4, 2025, Queenslake Horse Farm will pause operations for the fifth straight year to host the Mogadishu Mile, honoring the 19 Mogadishu heroes. Benefitting Three Rangers Foundation, we’ve made big changes: partnered with an electronic timing company for digital devices worn by runners; shortened the opening ceremony with an AI-enhanced tribute to the fallen 19 (cutting pre-race time by 45 minutes); widened the course to 6 lanes for simultaneous starts; relocated stations (push-ups, tire flips, etc.) to free the parking lot—vehicles now park at the show barn, no shuttles needed.
Free Mogadishu Mile and J. Mattingly tattoos and spa massages will pamper participants.
Kentucky Wounded Heroes (obstacle volunteers) and American Legion Post 24 (obstacle volunteers, Poker Run proceeds) will manage obstacles alongside Fisticuffs Gym (box jump obstacle). Sponsors include Texas Roadhouse, Starbucks Coffee, 418 Communications, Hamilton-Hinkle Paving Company, J. Mattingly 1845, Farm Credit (stage sponsor),

Jack Kain Ford (stage sponsor) Stoney Top Burgoo, Countryboy Brewing, Scooters Coffee, Highbridge Water, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Tore’ Derolf (bagpiper), Eagle Creek Bluegrass & Country Band, Two Brothers Garden Center, Good Year (tire flipping), Bypass Rentals (equipment), Dever Golf Carts (golf carts),, TallTails Carriage (horse/carriage rides), and Kentucky Print (print sponsor).
A separate Mogadishu Mile event has surfaced in Kentucky, hosted by former Queenslake volunteers at a church—it’s not a “move”; Queenslake remains the original home.
At the 2025 Tribute, we will welcome Tall Tails Carriage to conduct a live military funeral graveside service during the reading of the 19 fallen soldiers’ names, accompanied by an AI-enhanced video tribute.
